We keep only what is needed to show your progress.
Your video is never uploaded
Pose detection runs in your browser. The video, thumbnails and individual frames never leave your device and are not stored by Hoopmetry.
Only measurements are saved
We save the camera view, angles and classifications, your Form Consistency Score, feedback, today’s focus and timestamps, so you and your coach can track progress.
What is stored
Shooting videos are processed in your browser for basketball form analysis and are not permanently stored. Analysis results may be saved to provide training history and progress tracking.
Who can see your results
You can see your own sessions. Only coaches assigned to you can view your sessions and leave comments. Nobody else can access them.
What we collect
Your name, email, role, password (stored only as a secure hash), optional organization for coaches, the date you accepted these terms, how you found Hoopmetry (for example a school team link), and a small set of usage events such as signing in, completing an analysis or viewing a report. We do not track every click.
Feedback you send
If you answer an in-app question or report a problem, we store your answer with your account so the team can improve Hoopmetry.
How the team uses data
The Hoopmetry team reviews combined statistics (for example how many analyses succeed) to improve the product. Internal exports use anonymous account IDs instead of names or emails. We do not sell your data or show ads.
Services that load the app
Hoopmetry runs on Cloudflare. To display the app your browser also downloads fonts, icons and the pose detection model from Google Fonts, cdnjs, jsDelivr and Google Cloud Storage, which can see your IP address like any website. Your video is never sent to any of them.
Players aged 13 to 17
You must be at least 13 to sign up. If you are under 18, please review this notice with a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian can ask us to delete a player account through the Report a Problem page.
Deleting your data
You can permanently delete your account and all of your results at any time from the Account page. Usage statistics that remain are not linked to you.
